Alpha is a series of in-person sessions held at OurChurch exploring the Christian faith. We watch a creative and insightful short video together and have a conversation about our thoughts and questions. No two Alphas look the same, but they generally have three key things in common: hospitality, a talk and good conversation. We create a non-judgmental and open environment where it’s easy for anyone who is curious about faith to explore questions of life with new friends.
Alpha is an environment for anyone and everyone who wants to explore life and the Christian faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. Alpha is free and everyone is welcome.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Run over 8 weeks, each session looks at a different question around faith, and the talks are designed to create conversation. Everyone’s welcome, you don’t need to be a Christian, or attending OurChurch.

Every Alpha has three things in common: food, a talk and conversation.
Food – Sessions include food, because it’s a great way to connect and get to know everyone there.
Video – The short videos explore the basics of the Christian faith and are designed to inspire conversation. Usually around 20 - 30 minutes long. Watch a video →
Conversation – There is a discussion after the video where you can share your thoughts, ideas, and questions on the session’s topic. You can ask and say anything.

We run Alpha at various times throughout the year. The next Alpha course starting date is TBA at The Junction.

Alpha is completely free – and there’s no pressure to continue if you don’t want to come back after the first session.
