Love This City
Through Love This City, our volunteer army look for opportunities to serve, love and share Christ’s love in practical ways as we love God and love people.
Connected Threads
Tuesday mornings
A group of like minded volunteers create beautiful and useful gifts of love - using hand or machine sewing, crocheting or knitting. These are distributed through hospitals, hospices, Department of Families services.
The Pantry Project
Through The Pantry Project, Love This City partners with local schools to support families doing it tough, sharing what’s in our hands to meet practical needs, through meals, hampers and essentials, all driven by a heart to care for our community.
As part of our commitment to building a thriving, healthy, and connected community, Love This City provides ready-made, home-cooked frozen meals to families doing it tough across the Gold Coast.
Each week, volunteers come together in our commercial kitchen to cook up a favourite meal in bulk. These meals are then frozen and distributed through local schools, helping relieve pressure on families and providing not just food - but comfort, care, and connection.
Dress Her With Dignity
As part of a partnership with Convoy of Hope, we provide clothing and hygiene packs to victim survivors who present to Robina Hospital, offering practical care and restoring dignity in some of their most vulnerable moments.
Volunteers serve by shopping and packing (keeping packs stocked and ready) and people to deliver to the hospital and restock as needed.
Morning Tea Baking & Serving Team
Be a part of blessing the staff at Currumbin and Mudgeeraba Special Schools by either providing home-baked goodies or helping serve at their morning teas held once a term. Whether you’re a baker or a server, your contribution brings encouragement and appreciation to those who give so much in caring for others.
Backyard Blitz
Saturday mornings
Volunteers are sent on missions to mow lawns, whipper snip sidewalks, prune bushes, rake gardens, remove rubbish and much more for people doing it tough or in need of some extra support.
