Hi Church

We are praying for protection and healing over our city, nation and world with the current situation regarding the coronavirus.

It remains safe at this stage for us to gather together for our family gatherings, nonetheless, we are instituting a few changes.

As the people of God we cannot submit to fear, but faith! Trusting God we seek counsel to walk in wisdom. With this in mind, we wanted to take the opportunity to remind you of the following tips, issued by Queensland Health, to help those who are unsure how to act  :

1. Stay at home if you are unwell.

If this is the case, we encourage you to take advantage of our Church Online service here.

2. Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth

We also encourage greeting each other in this season in a manner that doesn't require direct contact.

3. Cover coughs and sneezes.

We encourage the good hygiene technique of coughing or sneezing into the upper sleeve or a tissue which is then disposed of. We will ensure that there are additional tissue boxes and rubbish bins available.

4. Wash hands regularly.

Queensland Health suggests washing hands for at least 20 seconds. All of our bathrooms are equipped with antiseptic soap and hand towels.

Use your personal sanitiser, and additionally we will have hand sanitiser available at the main entrance and other locations.

Although we currently have thorough cleaning processes in place, we will be deep cleaning the facilities and kids areas more frequently.

We are educating our kids and youth teams, and will also be removing stuffed animals from our children's areas that are more difficult to keep germ clean.

If you would like to be part of a volunteer team to help us do this more regularly both over the weekend and throughout the week, please let us know!

Our free tea and coffee will still be available, however, the team will serve you rather than continue with the self service  service currently in place.

During this time, people are becoming more and more anxious about the future. What a great opportunity we have to share the hope, life and faith that we have in Jesus as we continue living mission, loving God and loving people.

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.." (1 Peter 3:15)

Bless ya heaps, and see you on the weekend,

Ps Kev and Anne
