ALWAYS

SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

OBSERVATION: Paul is educating us on the kind of operating system that we should be working from; no matter what, we must be able to rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks to God in all circumstances. Even though not all our circumstances are ones for rejoicing and thanking God, it is His will for us to do so. Rejoicing, praying and thanking God not only praises Him, but ensures that our hearts are in the right place.

APPLICATION: You would think this to be easy, but it is not. I need great strength within me to be able to walk through life with this disposition. The strength that I need can only come from God and along with His strength, I need His plan and His presence to be the guiding force in my life.

PRAYER: Father, please help me to rejoice always, to pray continually and to give thanks in all circumstances. As I live this out, help me to model this to others. Amen
