FULFILMENT

31/5/20

SCRIPTURE: Romans 13:8,10 “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law… Love does no harm to a neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfilment of the law.”

OBSERVATION: Here we are being reminded of the fact that no matter what transpires at a government level, we must remain in submission; as the government plays a part in furthering God’s plan and purpose here on earth. Whatever is being transpired at a government level has no bearing on the effectiveness of our mission as Jesus followers. Our role is to keep loving God by loving our neighbours. What the government does has no bearing on us showing love and sharing the gospel.

APPLICATION: I must live from the new covenant of love, regardless of what is going on at a legislation level. There is nothing that can stop me from loving my neighbour out of my love for God, so this is what I will do; by doing so, all will know that I am His disciple.

PRAYER: Father, let love govern all that I do. Amen.
